Slutworld, the ferocious debut album from Minneapolis hardcore outfit Slut Intent, drops listeners straight into a visceral, unflinching sonic assault. Clocking in at a brief but blistering 18 minutes across 9 tracks, this record refuses to be passive — it demands visceral engagement.

From the opening frenzy of “Peppa Pig” to the incendiary closer “Girls Night,” Slut Intent weld raw punk energy with deeply political, confrontational themes. The band’s sound is jagged and unpolished by design — serrated guitars, machine‑gun drums, and vocals that erupt like shrapnel — capturing a mood of collective anger and mistrust toward entrenched power structures.

Vocalist Katy Kelly stands out as a force of nature; her delivery is more attack than performance, drenched in genuine emotion rather than theatricality. On tracks like “Bonkers Even” and “Slut Internet,” her lyrics confront issues from police brutality to bodily autonomy with unfiltered intensity, turning each song into something close to a rallying cry.

What makes Slutworld compelling isn’t just its aggression, but its restraint; songs snap shut before they overstay their welcome, leaving listeners exhilarated rather than exhausted. There’s a disciplined ferocity here — the band channels socio‑political frustration without descending into chaos for chaos’s sake.

Yet, Slutworld isn’t merely a protest record — it’s a testament to the enduring power of hardcore punk as a vehicle for dissent. Its brevity, intensity, and razor‑sharp focus make it a noteworthy debut and a striking statement in early 2026’s underground scene.
