Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s highly anticipated docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs now has a name and a firm Netflix release date. The four-part series, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, will debut on Netflix on December 2, 2025.
The hour-long, four-episode project is being executive-produced by 50 Cent and directed by documentary filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton. Netflix and publicity materials say the series will combine new interviews, archival footage and what the producers are calling “never-before-seen” materials to trace Combs’s rise in hip-hop and his subsequent fall amid mounting allegations and litigation.
The timing follows a high-profile legal chapter in Combs’s life: coverage of the series notes that it arrives just weeks after Combs’s criminal trial concluded and his sentencing earlier this year. Producers say the docuseries will situate the allegations and their fallout within broader cultural conversations about accountability, power and the music industry.
50 Cent — long a public rival of Combs and the founder of G-Unit Film & Television — has positioned the project as an in-depth journalistic examination rather than a sensational stunt. Early promotional material and a teaser featuring 50 Cent’s voice emphasize interviews with former colleagues, insiders and accusers to build a comprehensive narrative of Combs’s career and controversies.
Netflix’s Tudum writeup and several music and entertainment outlets (Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Vulture, Consequence, EW and others) published synopses and the official premiere announcement on Nov. 25–26, 2025, confirming the streaming platform will roll out all four episodes beginning December 2. Expect coverage and reaction pieces to flood entertainment desks once the series begins streaming next week.
