The Foo Fighters have announced a special benefit concert at Kia Forum in Los Angeles on January 14, 2026, with all proceeds going towards supporting local homelessness and hunger relief charities Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission.

The show coincides with frontman Dave Grohl’s 57th birthday — a detail that the band highlighted as especially meaningful in their announcement. In a statement Grohl described the event as “not just a big‑ass rock show, it’s a big‑ass party with a heart,” urging fans to “turn up the volume, turn up the hope,” and reminding them that “the best gift is to give.”

Rather than a traditional online ticket sale, the band and the partnering charities have organized an in‑person donation drive at the Kia Forum on December 7. Fans hoping to secure tickets must bring items such as new packaged socks or underwear (for all ages and genders), dried pinto beans, pasta (bagged or boxed), or dried rice. Perishable or canned goods are not accepted.

Monetary proceeds and all collected donations will go toward supporting Hope the Mission and Los Angeles Mission in their ongoing efforts to provide food, shelter, and essential services to unhoused and food-insecure Angelenos. Leaders from both charities praised the collaboration, calling it “a statement that it will take all of us working together to end homelessness in our city.”

With this benefit concert, Foo Fighters are turning what might have been a standard birthday show into a concrete act of community support — combining music with meaningful activism in service of those in need.
