After almost a decade without a full-length release, influential Canadian indie collective Broken Social Scene are making a triumphant return. The band has officially announced their sixth studio album, Remember the Humans, set for release on May 8, 2026, via Arts & Crafts. This record marks the group’s first proper album since 2017’s Hug of Thunder, and it reunites them with longtime collaborator producer David Newfeld, who also worked on some of their most acclaimed early records.
Leading the campaign is the first single, “Not Around Anymore,” which arrived alongside a new music video and offers a glimpse of the band’s reflective yet expansive sound. The album’s 12 tracks deal with themes of memory, community, and resilience—core pillars of Broken Social Scene’s sprawling, collaborative approach.
To celebrate the return, Broken Social Scene will embark on a major North American trek dubbed the All the Feelings Tour, co-headlining with fellow Canadian rock outfit Metric, who themselves are releasing a new album, Romanticize the Dive, in April. The tour will also feature Stars as part of the lineup, bringing together three beloved indie acts with deep roots in the Toronto scene.
The 18-date tour kicks off on June 8 in Austin, Texas, and winds through major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Boston, before concluding with a hometown show in Toronto on August 7. Tickets are available now, with presales already underway.
Fans of Broken Social Scene will be watching closely as this long-awaited era unfolds—Remember the Humans promises to be a landmark release for one of indie rock’s most influential collectives.
