Los’s latest release, Raquel Baby, arrives as a lean yet potent statement from the Detroit rapper, dropping quietly on 25 December 2025 with minimal fanfare but steadily gaining critical attention. Clocking in at just 21 minutes across 10 tracks, the album is concise but layered, showcasing Los’s trademark grit while venturing into more reflective sonic territory. 

At its core, Raquel Baby feels like a devotional piece—not just a rap record, but a layered testimony to survival, growth, and gratitude. The opening “Raquel Baby Intro” sets an evocative tone, with sound collages and energetic beats signaling a thematic shift toward introspection.  Los blends influences from early-2000s trap, Michigan’s frenetic rhythms, and Detroit’s bounce, but there’s also an unexpected warmth here: synth flourishes, ‘80s stabs, and SZA-like vocal samples make the production feel richer and more textured than on his past work. 

Standout tracks like “Back On My Set” and “Money Goin Money Coming” highlight this emotional expansion. On the former, Los confronts the gritty realities of his environment with brutal honesty, while on the latter he offers gratitude and spiritual resilience—“The way I made it there and back, I know that had to be God.”  These moments reveal a more contemplative Los, one who balances street narratives with vulnerable glimpses of personal evolution.
